This month, our special guest speaker is Fiona Ma, current CA State Treasurer and Candidate for State Lieutenant Governor in 2026.
Fiona Ma is running to be our next Lieutenant Governor because she believes in the California dream and that we each have the power to have a state government that works for all of us.
She also believes that with more than two decades of proven, problem-solving experience, she can provide the leadership necessary to make California affordable again while maintaining our commitment to freedom, a healthy climate and quality education.
Her Background:
Fiona is the oldest child of immigrant parents. They came to the U.S. seeking opportunity; her parents worked hard, saved money, and bought a home in a town with good schools. They moved to San Francisco in 1985, excited about our state’s diversity and entrepreneurial spirit, which propelled her family closer to their dreams. Thanks to their focus on savings and belief that education is the foundation for success, Fiona was able to earn a bachelor’s degree, a Masters degree, and a Masters in Business Administration without the burden of massive student debt.
After college, she worked her way up the ladder the old fashioned way: through hard work. She was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the California Assembly, and the State Board of Equalization before taking office as State Treasurer.
In these positions, she has maintained a record of accomplishing big things for Californians while taking on special interests. Her problem-solving legislation ending human trafficking in massage parlors, gave survivors of domestic abuse more rights in the courtroom, and banned toxic chemicals in baby products all were signed into state law, as were nearly 60 other proposals.
Fiona Ma loves California and wants to keep it The Golden State for ALL of us.
